Week 8 Things to consider

Discuss how to set up a simple blog, wiki, OR podcast project with learners.

How to set up a simple blog.
-To set up a blog, we need to a lot of informations, photos and we have to create an account.
In blog, we can publish what we think about something, sharing many of photos, make many friends or followers, and we can post audio and video equipment. Also, we can set up blogs for students. We can share about education, and we can do work as a group.

How to set up wiki.
-Use a free wiki websites. ex) www.pbwiki.org
Using a wiki websites, the teacher sets up the first page of a wiki, and the steps the learners will need to take in the project. The teacher has added an image to the wiki page, and outlined the things the learners will need to do to complete the project.

How to set up podcast.
-Use a free podcast site. ex) www.podomatic.com
The teacher set up a podcast page. This needs to be done at home or in the computer room.
To record a pod cast, the teacher needs a computeeer and internet connection, and a microphone and speaker or a headset.

Discuss a how a tutor, student or class blog can be used with learners.

Tutor blog- Tutors are post setting homework, provide a summary of class work, provide links to extra reading/listening material, Q&A, and exam/study tips.

Student blog- Students are post personal and family information, extra writing practice on class topics, regular comments on current affairs and research and present information on a topic.\

Class blog- There are information or news of class. Reactions to a film, article, class topic, and current affairs. Things learners like/don't like doing in class. A class project on any topic.

They provide a 'real-world' tool for learners!!
